Alexander McQueen Yoshiko, 2017

Made in October 2017 to be sold at Amaicon. This is part of a set of 9 illustrations inspired by Love Live! Sunshine!! and fashion advertisements in Harper's Bazaar.

Magazine cutouts were glued to cardstock to create the background. A marker, paint, and ink illustration on cardstock was composited onto the background in Photoshop.

Yohane has that dark posture that really draws her to the sleek, mystically detailed dress. It's one of those unmistakably perfect matches. The black and white of the original ad is really striking, so it's been very extensively used in the background.
