Givenchy Dia, 2017

Made in October 2017 to be sold at Amaicon. This is part of a set of 9 illustrations inspired by Love Live! Sunshine!! and fashion advertisements in Harper's Bazaar.

Magazine cutouts were glued to cardstock to create the background. A marker and ink illustration on cardstock was composited onto the background in Photoshop.

Dia's image color is red, and the very stately, but bold Givenchy coordinate shown at the forefront of the ad is the essence of her character. The gold ink in the physical illustration pops nicely in the scan. Very little of the ad is re-used in the background.
