Hiromi Hirata and Mayako Nigo Anime Central Flower Stand Placards and Inserts, 2024

Hiromi Hirata and Mayako Nigo, actresses for Makoto Kikuchi and Yayoi Takatsuki from The Idolm@ster, were invited to Anime Central in Chicago in 2024. After the success of the banners for Yurika Kubo and Hinata Sato, we expanded to two idol-greeting flower stands, so I took the dual-portrait flower stand instead of the banner for Sora Tokui. I illustrated and designed the portrait board, two chibi inserts to sit among the flowers, and the contributor placard.

Illustrations were done with alcohol marker, Pigma Micron, comic white ink, and Derwent Inktense and Graphitint pencils, then cleaned up with final composition, background, and typesetting done in Clip Studio Paint.
